Exploring East Nashville

If you didn’t know already, Chad and I moved to Nashville, TN! A move away from Arkansas was something that we had been planning for and anticipating for a long time. We enjoyed our time in Arkansas, but we both really wanted a change and to find a place to make our own. So, we weighed our options and settled on Nashville!

We have been living in our renovated Airstream for the last three months, and plan to continue to do so through the end of the year, but we are excited to be exploring our new home! Since we know RV living isn’t forever for us, we have already been scoping out all of the areas that Nashville has to offer to see where we will want to end up long term.

We visited Nashville last year (see that trip HERE) and stayed in a cozy AirBNB in East Nashville. We loved the little house we stayed in and we loved the surrounding area with restaurants, shops and everything you could possibly need. So, naturally, the first neighborhood we started to explore was East Nashville!

To be totally honest, we loved the area even more now, but there are even areas within the area that you can choose from. The diversity in houses, neighborhoods and styles can change from street to street, so obviously we need to do more exploring.

We aren’t sure yet exactly what our checklist looks like for a future home, but East Nashville seems like it has a lot to offer.

Neighborhood feel with restaurants and shops within walking distance: Check

Cute houses with historical charm: Check

Plenty of opportunities for a backyard for Millie to run: Check

That’s about all we know we want for sure, and it’s looking pretty good!

We have a lot of other areas to explore around Nashville, but when the time comes, we will definitely consider East Nashville as a place to officially call home.  So, this is part 1 of 4 on our search for our future home in Nashville! Hopefully you find the information useful if you’re looking to move to Nashville as well. Or hopefully you love looking at strangers houses as much as I do!

We are so excited to be here.
